Yesterday we put in 22 hours of travel from our (now former) door in Yinchuan, China to our temporary door in Wheaton, Illinois. You can't see us when we say that so we'll add that the tone is more musing than whiny. We made great time and all went like clockwork.
Speaking of clocks, the one in our bodies forced us out of bed at 5:00am which is actually not bad for the first night stateside in a year. We'll take it. We were famished so we finished a burger and fries that were left over from dinner last night. It was everything pub grub should be... at 5:00am.
We'll be in a holding pattern here at Wheaton for the next four weeks. Monday we start three weeks of Methodolgy and Phonology. After that we've got a week of Theo Foundations, and then we're headed home home - just in time for the Miller-Kilheffer (K's younger bro) wedding... wow.
We may not have much to say in the next month because we pretty much expect to study/eat/sleep (in order of priority) until about August. We'll see, but you may be thankful because we'd probably say something like, "I read last night that if you do this instead of that, your students will be 72.3% more likely to be able to reproduce that sound." Maybe we'll spare you.
